TCM has set a UK premiere date for the sixth and final season of Longmire, with the crime drama beginning on Sunday January 7th.
Developed by John Coveny and Hunt Baldwin from Craig Johnson’s Walt Longmire Mysteries novels, the series stars Robert Taylor as Walt Longmire, the sheriff of Absaroka County in Wyoming. A widower still carrying the weight of his wife’s death, Walt works murders and other serious crimes across his rural patch alongside his deputies and his closest friend, Henry Standing Bear.
The cast also includes Katee Sackhoff as deputy Vic Moretti, Lou Diamond Phillips as Henry, Cassidy Freeman as Walt’s daughter Cady and Adam Bartley as deputy “The Ferg”. First launched on A&E, Longmire was dropped after three seasons before Netflix stepped in to produce a further three, with this final run bringing Walt’s story to a close.
