Rick & MortyFOX UK has been looking to broaden out their offerings on the comedy side since the initial rebrand in 2013. Early attempts included Men At Work and Louie, but the channel has been trying to find content that could compliment the Thursday night Seth MacFarlane series Family Guy and American Dad. To that end, FOX UK also recently picked up second window rights to MacFarlane’s new Fox series Bordertown.

“The acquisition of these satirical, riotous new series cements FOX as the home of adult animated and live action comedy on Thursday nights in the UK”, said Jeff Ford, Managing Director of Fox International Channels UK. “Fans of Family Guy and American Dad! will be sure to love these irreverent  comedies, already cult classics in the U.S.”

“Adult Swim is the top-performing cable channel among US millennials and we’re delighted to be partnering with Fox to bring this hugely popular brand and its abundance of hilarious entertainment to audiences here in the UK”, added Turner’s Humphrey Black. “This is a key part of our broader strategy for bringing Adult Swim to audiences in Europe across multiple platforms.”
