5USA has set a UK premiere date for the second season of Chicago PD, with the police drama returning on Wednesday April 8th at 9pm.
A spin-off of Chicago Fire from creators Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, the series follows the elite Intelligence Unit of the Chicago Police Department as it goes after the city’s worst offenders, from organised crime and drug trafficking to high-profile murders. Jason Beghe stars as the unit’s hard-nosed boss, Detective Sergeant Hank Voight.
The 23-part second season opens with the fallout from the Sheldon Jin murder investigation, as Voight finds himself under the watchful eye of Internal Affairs. The ensemble cast includes Jon Seda, Sophia Bush, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, Elias Koteas and Amy Morton.
