Will Arnett has found his next gig…
The former The Millers star is set to co-create and star in a new eight episode comedy series for Netflix titled Flaked, TVWise has confirmed.
Set to debut globally in 2016, Flaked is set in Venice, California and follows Chip (Arnett), a self-appointed “guru” who falls for the object of his best friend’s fascination. The series was created by Will Arnett and Mark Chappell, both of whom will executive produce alongside Mitch Hurwitz, Ben Silverman and Peter Principato.
“We are thrilled to be the home of Will Arnett’s next series, and look forward to Chip joining his repertoire alongside such diverse and inspirational characters such as Gob, Bojack, and Batman”, said Cindy Holland, Netflix’s Vice President of Original Content.
Flaked is the latest pick up as part of Netflix’s push into comedy, after seeing success on the drama side with the likes of House of Cards and Orange Is The New Black. Other comedies in the pipeline include former NBC series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which launches globally on March 6th; and Grace & Frankie starring Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda, which premieres on March 30th.
