Syfy UK has set a premiere date for the third season of Continuum, with the Canadian sci-fi drama returning on Wednesday January 28th at 10pm.
Created by Simon Barry, the series follows Kiera Cameron, a police officer from the year 2077 played by Rachel Nichols. She is dragged back to the present day when a group of fanatical terrorists, Liber8, escape execution by fleeing through time to 2012, pulling Kiera along with them. Stranded, she works alongside the Vancouver police while hiding her origins and searching for a way home, helped by teenage tech prodigy Alec Sadler.
The new season picks up from the second-season finale, in which Alec hijacked Kiera’s one chance to return to her own time in order to save Emily, the woman he loves, from death. Rachel Nichols leads a cast that also features Victor Webster, Erik Knudsen, Lexa Doig and William B. Davis.
