Archive: The Librarians’ Jumps To Syfy UK, Premiere Set For December 8th – TVWise

The Librarians is on the move.
The TNT series, which was acquired by Universal Networks International in more than 100 territories over the Summer, will now air in the UK on Syfy, rather than on Universal Channel, as was originally intended.
Despite the change in channel, The Librarians will still air in the UK within 24 hours of the US broadcast, with the premiere on Syfy UK set for Monday December 8th at 8pm.
The Librarians centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath the Metropolitan Public Library dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden all around. This group solves impossible mysteries, fights supernatural threats and recovers powerful artifacts from around the world. The organisation consists of Caretaker Jenkins and Librarian Flynn Carsen, who has recruited four people to aid him in his task. Those four are Eve Baird, Jake Stone, Cassandra and Ezekiel Jones.
The series is produced by Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment and is a follow up to TNT’s Librarian film franchise. That franchise, which consisted of three films, starred Falling Skies alum Noah Wyle and aired between 2004 and 2008. Wyle is reprising his role in the series and is part of a cast that also includes Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, John Larroquette, Lindy Booth, John Kim, Bob Newhart, Jane Curtin and Matt Frewer.
