ITV2 has set a UK premiere date for Mom, with the CBS comedy arriving on Monday January 20th at 9pm in a double-bill.
Created by Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky and Gemma Baker, the series stars Anna Faris as Christy, a newly sober single mother and waitress at a smart Napa Valley restaurant who is doing her best to stay clean and raise her two children. Her hard-won progress is tested when her own mother, Bonnie, a fellow recovering addict, reappears in her life.
Allison Janney, a multiple Emmy winner, plays the sharp-tongued, passive-aggressive Bonnie. The show mines comedy from the prickly bond between the two women while taking an honest look at addiction and recovery.
