5USA has acquired the UK rights to Cedar Cove, the Hallmark Channel drama, and will premiere the series on Sunday February 9th.
Based on Debbie Macomber’s bestselling novels, Cedar Cove is set in a picturesque coastal town of the same name in Washington state. Andie MacDowell stars as Olivia Lockhart, a municipal court judge who weighs up the lives of those around her both on the bench and off it, while navigating her own relationships and the rhythms of small-town life.
The show was Hallmark Channel’s first original scripted series. Dylan Neal co-stars as local newspaper editor Jack Griffith, whose romance with Olivia runs through the series. Gentle and warm-hearted, it offers an easygoing alternative to the grittier dramas elsewhere on the schedule.
