LOVEFiLM has closed a deal with Tandem Communications to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Crossing Lines, the drama series from Criminal Minds executive producer Edward Allen Bernero which stars William Fichtner and Donald Sutherland. The deal between LOVEFiLM and Tandem covers both the first season and the recently ordered second season of the series.
The pick up comes as LOVEFiLM is making a play for more first run series. The Amazon owned streaming serving has previously picked up the first run rights to such series as History’s Vikings and BBC America’s Copper. The company also recently inked an deal with Fox International Channels to become the exclusive UK streaming home to AMC’s The Walking Dead. The first season of Crossing Lines will be made available to subscribers of LOVEFiLM on Friday October 25th.
Created and developed by Edward Allen Bernero and Rola Bauer, Crossing Lines is set in exotic locations and taps into the charter of the International Criminal Court to investigate serialized cross-border crimes and to hunt down global criminals. The drama series is produced by Bernero Productions and stars William Fichtner, Donald Sutherland, Marc Lavoine, Gabriella Pession, Tom Wlaschiha, Moon Dailly and Richard Flood.
