The drama series, which has an order for 13 episodes, is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and stars Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Dean Norris, Natalie Martinez, Britt Robertson, Alexander Koch, Colin Ford, Nicholas Strong, Jolene Purdy and Aisha Hinds. The series, which pulled in nearly 20 million viewers for its premiere state-side on CBS, was recently renewed for a 13 episode second season.

why have it over(so far 26) episodes when the book covered nearly every social impact that an insular community could come across . should have done it in the style of THE STAND and had it over 4×2 hour presentations . its not as if we dont know how it ends……..

@Bill Smillie – That’s the thing, we DON’T know how it ends. They have taken the basic theme from the book and pretty much completely re-written the story. Stephen King wanted this so that people who have read the book can also enjoy the TV series. Having watched this at US pace I can confirm that it’s nothing like the book (other than the Dome of course). It is good however and definitely worth watching!
