The seventh season of ITV’s drama series Law & Order: UK will premiere on Sunday July 14th at 9pm, it has been announced.

Based on the long-running US series Law & Order, Law & Order: UK follows the investigation of a major crime by the Metropolitan Police Service and the subsequent prosecution undertaken by the Crown Prosecution Service. The drama series is produced by Kudos Film and Television & Wolf Films and stars Bradley Walsh, Paul Nicholls, Dominic Rowan and Peter Davison. Joining the cast this season is Patterson Joseph (Hustle) as Detective Inspector Wes Leyton and Georgia Taylor (Lewis) as Kate Barker, a former defence barrister turned crown prosecutor. The opening two episodes of the season seven were penned by The Poison Tree scribe Emilia di Girolamo and tells the story of a suicidal man who drives his car across a railway crossing causing the train to crash and kills 15 people. The investigation takes on several twists as the teams pursue the case with vigour and a determination to uncover the truth as the future of their colleague DS Sam Casey hangs in the balance.

Being a North American where generally speaking a seasons worth of episodes are usually more than 16….4 months worth or better

how can a season consist of only 6 episodes??…..that’s ridiculously absurd….
