TLC has acquired the UK rights to two TV Land comedies, The Exes and Happily Divorced, adding both American sitcoms to its schedule.
In The Exes, Kristen Johnston plays divorce attorney Holly Franklin, who rents the apartment across the hall from her own to three of her newly single male clients. The mismatched trio is made up of sweet-natured Stuart (David Alan Basche), womanising sports agent Phil (Donald Faison) and the older, slovenly Haskell (Wayne Knight), with Holly forever caught between her clients and her tenants.
Happily Divorced comes from Fran Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobson and draws on their own history as a former married couple. Drescher stars as a Los Angeles florist whose husband of many years, played by John Michael Higgins, comes out as gay, leaving the pair to carry on sharing a home as they each start dating again. Rita Moreno and Tichina Arnold co-star.
