The third season of Canadian science-fiction series Lost Girl will receive its UK premiere on Syfy UK on Tuesday April 23rd at 10pm (after new episodes of Defiance, which premieres on Tuesday April 16th at 9pm), it has been announced.

Created by Michelle Lovretta, Lost Girl follows Bo, a Succubus who feeds off of human sexual energy. Bo learns that she is part of a species known as the Fae (creatures that have only been heard of  through fairy tales and horror stories). Having learned of her true lineage Bo is faced with a choice, she must choose to ally herself with one of the two clans of Fae; Light or Dark. Bo chooses not to ally herself with either and instead opts to tread a fine line between the two. She quickly partners up with a human named Kenzi and the two operate as  private investigators determined to help and protect both Human and Fae, while  she tries to unlock the secrets of her heritage and discover who she really is. The drama series is produced by Prodigy Pictures in association with Shaw Media and Showcase and stars Anna Silk, Kris Holden-Ried, Ksenia Solo, Zoie Palmer, Rick Howland and K.C. Collins. In the opening episode of season 3, titled Caged Fae, Bo risks her freedom to do a favour for Lauren, only to discover she’ll have to go it “au naturel.” The new Ash is revealed. Later, Bo’s new appetites surfaces, which begs the question: has she actually recovered from last season’s battle?
