Archive E4 Sets UK Premiere Date For ‘Suburgatory’ – TVWise

The first season of ABC’s comedy series Suburgatory will receive its UK premiere on E4 on Tuesday July 17th at 9:30pm, it has been announced.
Suburgatory was created by Emily Kapnek and stars Jane Levy as Tessa Altman, Jeremy Sisto as George Altman, Cheryl Hines as Dallas Royce, Carly Chaikin as Dalia Royce, Alan Tudyk as Noah Werner, Allie Grant as Lisa Shay and Rex Lee as Mr. Wolf. The series revolves around Sisto’s character George Altman who, after panicking about what effect living in New York City is having on his daughter, packs up and moves with his daughter to the suburbs
In the show’s first season, single father George, who only wants the best for his 16-year-old daughter Tessa, finds a box of condoms on her nightstand and he quickly moves them out of their apartment in New York City to a house in the suburbs. Being in the ‘burbs can be hell, but it also may just bring Tessa and George closer than they’ve ever been. Tessa and George have been on their own before she was even potty trained. So far, George has done a pretty good job of raising Tessa without a maternal figure in their lives, but suddenly he’s feeling a little out of his league. So it’s goodbye New York City and hello suburbs. At first Tessa is horrified by the big-haired, fake-boobed mothers and their sugar-free Red Bull-chugging kids. But little by little she and her dad begin finding a way to survive on the clean streets of the ‘burbs.
