Alibi has set a UK premiere date for The Glades, the American crime drama, with the series starting on Tuesday September 11th.
Created by Clifton Campbell, the show stars Matt Passmore as Jim Longworth, a cocksure Chicago homicide detective who relocates to Florida after a run-in with his captain. Expecting a quiet life of golf and sunshine in the sleepy town of Palm Glade, near the Everglades, he instead finds himself working a steady stream of murders for the state’s Department of Law Enforcement.
Kiele Sanchez co-stars as nurse Callie Cargill, the show’s romantic interest for Longworth, with Carlos Gómez as medical examiner Carlos Sanchez. Breezy and sun-soaked, the series leans on its laid-back lead and its colourful Florida setting as much as on the cases themselves.
