Sky Atlantic Sets UK Premiere Date For Awake

Earlier this week, Sky Atlantic announced that they had acquired the exclusive first-run rights to NBC’s drama series Awake. The channel has now revealed that the series will receive its UK premiere on Friday May 4th at 10pm.

Created by Kyle Killen, Awake stars Jason Isaacs, Steve Harris, BD Wong, Laura Allen, Wilmer Valderrama, Cherry Jones, Dylan Minnette and Michaela McManus and follows an LAPD detective (Isaacs) whose wife and son are killed in a car crash and in order to cope his mind invents two realities which he lives in; one where his wife survives the crash and his son dies and one where his son survives the crash and his wife dies.

The show is broadcast in the United States by NBC where, season to date, the series has been averaging 4.4 million total viewers and a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic in live+same day. With those ratings, the series is considered a long shot for renewal.
