Exclusive: I have just learned that UKTV’s Alibi channel has acquired the UK broadcast rights to Lifetime’s drama series 1-800-Missing from Lionsgate Television. I’m also being told that Alibi has set the premiere for the show’s 18 episode first season for Monday June 18th at 6pm.

1-800-Missing stars Caterina Scorsone, Gloria Reuben, Justina Machado & Dean McDermott and tells the story of Jess Mastriani (Scorsone), a woman whose life is turned upside down when she’s struck by lightning. After her accident she finds that she’s gained psychic gifts, which manifest themselves as visions that help to find missing people. Employed by a special FBI task force, she’s teamed with sceptical partner Brooke Haslett (Reuben).

Produced by Lionsgate Television, the drama series was based on the 1-800-WHERE-R-U series of novels by noted YA author Meg Cabot and ran for three season on US cable network Lifetime from 2003 – 2006.

TVWise’s UK Premiere Dates page has been updated with this new information.
