Gerard McCarthy Cast In BBC Two’s The Fall

Gerard McCarthy has joined the cast of The Fall, BBC Two’s upcoming crime drama, in the role of Kevin McSwain.

Written by Allan Cubitt and set in Belfast, the series stars Gillian Anderson as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson, a senior officer brought in to take over a stalled murder investigation that turns into the hunt for a serial killer. Jamie Dornan plays Paul Spector, a Belfast bereavement counsellor and family man who is, in secret, the man targeting young women across the city.

McCarthy, a Belfast actor best known to television audiences from Hollyoaks, is among a strong local cast assembled for the Northern Ireland-set thriller. The Fall is shaping up to be one of the higher-profile dramas in BBC Two’s pipeline.
