Erin Way (Detroit 1-8-7) has joined Syfy’s drama series Alphas as a regular for its second season.

Way has joined the series in the role of Kat, a mysterious, free-spirited young loner whose Alpha ability allows her to pick up any skill at a glance. The downside to her condition, which has plagued her for her entire life, is that her memories are short-lived and her experiences fade away after a short amount of time. Becoming a member of the team provides a purpose and direction for Kat and working with Dr. Rosen may help her reclaim her lost past.

Alphas was created by Zak Penn and Michael Karnow and follows a group of humans with superhuman abilities, known as Alphas, who work for Dr Lee Rosen at the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) where they track down other Alphas who may pose a threat to themselves and others. The series is produced by BermanBraun Television and Universal Cable Productions.

Production is currently underway on the show’s 13 episode second season in Toronto, Canada, with Syfy eyeing a July premiere.
