Erin Way has joined the cast of Alphas, Syfy’s drama about people with superhuman abilities, for its second season. She will play Kat, a new member of the team.
Kat is a free-spirited young loner whose Alpha ability lets her learn any skill the moment she sees it done, from picking a lock to anything else. The catch is that she cannot hold on to her memories: after about a month she forgets what she has learned and even details about herself, though the physical skills stick. She is not even certain that Kat is her real name.
Created by Zak Penn and Michael Karnow, Alphas follows a team of gifted individuals led by the neurologist Dr. Lee Rosen, played by David Strathairn, who investigate crimes involving others with enhanced abilities. The regular cast includes Malik Yoba, Warren Christie, Azita Ghanizada, Ryan Cartwright and Laura Mennell.
Way has previously appeared in Detroit 1-8-7, Private Practice and Hawaii Five-0. The second season of Alphas is due to air later this year.
