It’s Official: ITV Poaches ‘The Voice’ From BBC, Orders ITV2 & Kids Spin-Offs

After weeks of rumours, ITV has officially confirmed that they have secured exclusive rights to The Voice, poaching the format away from its current UK home, the BBC. The show's fifth season, which is set to debut early next year, will be the last to air on BBC One, before the format segues to ITV in 2017. ITV's deal runs for three years, from 2017-2019, and alongside taking the rights to the main series, the commerical broadcaster has also commissioned an ITV2 spin-off and children's version of the format. 11-22-63Hulu has released the first trailer for 11.22.63, their upcoming event series from veteran producer JJ Abrams which is based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. 11.22.63 tells the story of Jake Epping, a high school English teacher who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas. But his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, his falling in love and the past itself – which doesn’t want to be changed. Read More

BBC One Unveils Key Art For Six-Part ‘War & Peace’ Adaptation

War & PeaceThe BBC has released the key art for their upcoming six episode War & Peace adaptation, which is set to air on BBC One in early 2016. Widely regarded as one of the greatest novels of all time, War & Peace follows five aristocratic families in 19th century Russia – a time when Alexander I was still Tsar and the French were invading Russian territory.
