Channel 5 is expanding their commissioning team. The VIMN backed broadcaster has hired Dan Louw to serve as Commissioning Editor, and Kate Morey and Denise Seneviratne to serve as Commissioning Executives. The trio will report directly to Channel 5's Director of Programmes Ben Frow. BriteSpark Films has hired Channel 4 Commissioning Editor Tom Porter to serve as their new Director of Programmes. The appointment comes after the Argonon Group acquired 100% of the indie, which was initially set up by Nick Godwin as a joint venture with Argonon. As Director of Programmes, Tom will help develop and grow the business taking it to the next level. He will oversee the new slate of programming as well as bring in new and popular commissions. More4 has given the greenlight to History of Britain in 100 Homes, an eight episode Phil Spencer fronted factual series in which he tours the UK's most historical households. The series is set to premiere on the channel on Wednesday January 30th at 9pm. Read More

Studio Ramsay has found its new CCO. Lisa Edwards has been named Chief Creative Officer for Gordon Ramsay's production company. The appointment comes shortly after it was announced that Chris Brogden was exiting the CCO post to take up a role at Tinopolis. Edwards will take up post next month and will oversee the company's existing slate and help grow the business, working closely with Executive Vice-President/Head of Current Programming Elvia Van Es Oliva in the US and Head of Popular Factual Helen Cooke in the UK.
