Army Wives Season Six To Premiere March 4th

It looks like the Army Wives are reenlisting! Lifetime has announced that the sixth season of their highest rated series will be returning to the network on March 4th at 9/8c. It was reported back in November that Lifetime had upped it’s order for season 6 from thirteen episodes to twenty three. However, at present the network only plans to air thirteen episodes from March 4th, sources confirm exclusively to TVWise. It appears that the network wants to keep the remaining ten episodes in reserve while they focus on scripted development. This comes after the network’s two newest drama series from last summer, The Protector and Against The Wall, failed to find much of an audience and were canceled after just one season. If/when the network greenlight’s production on a new drama series Lifetime will apparently use the remaining ten episodes which were produced as part of the shows sixth season as a spring board for said series.
