HBO has released a trailer for their upcoming comedy series Girls, which is set to premiere on the network on Sunday April 15th at 10:30/9:30c. The series, which was created by and stars Lena Dunham, follows the lives of a group of 20 year old girls living in New York City.

EXCLUSIVE: Following on from our major scoop on Syfy’s Defiance, TVWise has learned that Gillian Anderson was briefly considered for one of two leading roles in the series.
Exclusive: Last June, Syfy and Trion Games announced Defiance, a joint MMO video game and TV series. At the time little was released about the proposed TV tie-in other than the fact that it was being penned by Rockne S. O’Bannon (Farscape) and being produced by Universal Cable Productions. This was not the first time Syfy had teamed up with a video games studio to create a TV tie-in, they did something similar with THQ last year for Red Faction. When Defiance was initially announced, it was unclear whether this was a pilot or a full on series, however, more details were released a few weeks ago when Syfy announced that Grant Bowler had been cast as Jeb Nolan in the series.
Exclusive: In our recent scoop on Syfy’s upcoming series Defiance, from Farscape creator Rockne S O’Bannon, I noted that this was not the first time the network had teamed up with a games studio to develop a TV tie-in. Indeed, Syfy had previously teamed up with THQ to produce Red Faction: Origins, a two hour TV movie that was something of a prequel to the latest video game in the Red Faction Franchise.

The thirteenth season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is returning to the Universal Channel in the UK. The NBC Universal owned channel has announced that they will resume airing the thirteenth season of the series on Sunday March 11th at 10pm with the episode Spiralling Down.
Last week, TVWise reported that Sky Living would start airing the third season of Bill Lawrence’s Cougar Town in March. Sky Living made that official this morning when they revealed that they would start airing the shows’s 15 episode third season on Friday March 9th at 8:30pm.
