FX has set Thursday June 28th as the premiere date for its summer comedy lineup, including Charlie Sheen’s new series Anger Management, Russell Brand’s Strangely Uplifting, the second season of Wilfred and the third season of Louie.
The Daytona 500 on Fox led to almost universal dips in ratings on Monday night, with only a handful of ABC shows posting gains compared to last week. Preliminary figures for the race show an average 14.24 million total viewers and a 4.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic in live+same day.

Exclusive: I’ve learned that MTV’s Viva channel does not hold nor do they have any plans to acquire the rights to the second or third seasons of Community from Sony Pictures Television. That leaves the comedy series without a UK broadcaster.
In a recent interview with my9tv.com, Andy Breckman, creator and executive producer of USA Network’s hit series Monk, revealed that he had been working on a two hour Monk TV movie and had just recently finished writing the script. The movie is politically themed and, according to Breckman, is titled “Mr Monk for Mayor.”

Last week Channel 4’s Dispatches defeated attempts from ticket reselling website viagogo to obtain a High Court injunction to prevent the airing of an episode, which was described as, “an important public interest investigation into how real fans are paying the price for hidden practices used by live event promoters and a major ‘fan-to-fan ticket exchange’.” The Dispatches episode in question subsequently aired on Thursday February 23rd at 9pm and revealed “that major promoters allocated hundreds or even thousands of tickets to be sold through the viagogo website at well above the face value.”

Comedy Central has announced that the sixteenth season of South Park will premiere on the cable network on Wednesday, March 14th at 10/9c, followed by the return of the second season of Ugly Americans at 10:30/9:30c.
