Exclusive: I’ve learned that the Universal Channel has acquired the UK broadcast rights to the first season of Canadian police drama series Flashpoint and, in what is a very fast turnaround, they have already set Monday March 19th at 8pm as the premiere date.
Channel 5 has announced that the twelfth season of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will receive its UK premiere on the channel on Tuesday March 13th at 9pm.
Game Change, the two-hour TV movie which documents Sarah Palin’s involvement in the 2008 presidential election is coming to Sky Atlantic. The channel has announced that they will give the movie its UK premiere on Thursday April 26th at 9pm.
The CW has announced that Canadian import The LA Complex will receive its premiere on the channel on Tuesday April 24th at 9/8c. In addition, the network also announced the finale dates for continuing series Ringer, The Vampire Diaries, Hart of Dixie, Supernatural, Gossip Girl and Nikita.
Following on from Fox’s decision to re-shuffle their spring schedule and move the premiere of Kiefer Sutherland’s new series Touch, the series’ UK broadcaster, Sky 1, has announced that they are moving the premiere of the series by a week. Touch will now have its UK debut on the channel on Tuesday March 20th at 8pm.
Fox’s hit reality series American Idol won the night in the key 18-49 demo on Tuesday. The two hour showing (8-10 pm) drew 15.8 million viewers and a 5.0 rating.
MTV has announced that the fifth season of their hit reality series Jersey Shore will receive its UK premiere on Tuesday April 3rd at 9pm.
ITV has ordered Mr Selfridge, a new drama series from writer Andrew Davies. The series is based on the book Shopping, Seduction and Mr Selfridge by author Lindy Woodhead which is the biographical account of the life of Harry Gordon Selfridge and the story of his store.
