NBC is set to present its new slate of programming to advertisers in New York City tomorrow morning. Ahead of their upfront presentation, NBC has released details of their fall schedule. Of the network’s 12 new shows (7 comedies, 5 dramas), only six will be launching this fall; with 1600 Penn, Do No Harm, Hannibal, Infamous, Next Caller and Save Me being held back for mid-season. On the comedy side, NBC is expanding from 2 comedy blocks a week (on Wednesdays and Thursdays) to four (on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays). Returning comedies 30 Rock, The Office, Parks and Recreation & Up All Night are staying put on Thursdays; while Community and Whitney are moving to Friday nights, where they will serve as the lead in to Grimm. On the drama side, JJ Abrams’ Revolution is getting the coveted post The Voice time-slot on Monday nights and the network is going for a two hour Dick Wolf block on Wednesdays, with Law & Order: SVU leading into freshman drama series Chicago Fire. Notably missing from NBC’s fall schedule is The Biggest Loser and Smash, both of which are also being held back for a mid-season launch.
