UK Sanctuary fans: if you missed the third season of the show when it was broadcast on Watch last year, then you now have another chance to see it. Syfy UK has announced that they will start airing the 20-episode third season of Sanctuary on Wednesday June 6th at 10pm.
A&E has cancelled crime drama series Breakout Kings, just two and a half weeks after the series finished airing its ten episode second season, TVWise has confirmed.
Channel 5 has closed a deal to acquire the exclusive UK rights to CBS’ drama series Person of Interest from Warner Bros. International Television Distribution. The show’s 23 episode first season is expected to premiere on Channel 5 later this year.
The CW’s announcement of their 2012-2013 fall schedule, as expected, contained a large number of changes from last season. First of all, with five new series and an extra fifty hours of original programming, the network has announced they will pushing back their fall launch’s until October, as opposed to previous launches in early September.
As is usually the case for CBS, the network’s announcement of their fall 2012-2013 schedule included a number of big scheduling changes.
Ahead of their upfront presentation in New York City, TNT and TBS today announced a large slate of scripted and unscripted projects in development. TNT has seven scripted series in development, which includes projects from Tom Clancy, Steven Bochco, Howard Gordon and David Baldacci, and another four series in development on the unscripted side. Meanwhile, over at TBS, the cable network, who just recently picked up Cougar Town for a fourth season, announced three scripted series and one unscripted series in development.
Amongst the 10 new shows that ABC has ordered for next season is comedy series The Family Tools. Based on the British series White Van Man, the comedy series is said to follow a young man who is forced to put his dreams aside to take over the family handy man business. The Neighbors is one of four new comedy series ordered by ABC for the 2012 – 2013 TV season. The comedy series, which hails from Dan Fogelman and ABC Studios, has been described as being about a family who move into a new neighbourhood to find that all of the residents of the local community are from another planet.
