Earlier this week, TVWise broke the news that UKTV had acquired the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to three new series: TNT’s Perception, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior and the short-lived Lifetime series The Protector. The company made that official today by announcing the acquisition of all three series. Under the deal with Disney Media Distribution, UKTV’s Watch channel has acquired both seasons (23 episodes) of TNT’s drama series Perception, and Alibi has acquired the complete series of both Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior and The Protector.

BBC Three is the latest broadcaster to jump on the Zombie craze, which was perhaps kicked off by AMC’s The Walking Dead. The digital channel has given the green-light to In The Flesh, a new three episode drama series set in the aftermath of a zombie uprising. Casting for the series is currently underway, with production slated to commence later this year.

On the heels of announcing the pick-ups of US imports 666 Park Avenue, Animal Practice, Ben & Kate and Up All Night, Anjela Jain, ITV ‘s Controller of Digital Channels and Acquisitions announced that she had commisioned ITV2’s first ever original comedy series: Plebs.
