UKTV’s Watch channel has closed a deal with CBS Studios International to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to The CW’s drama series Beauty and the Beast. The deal is for multiple seasons of the drama series, which is set to premiere on Watch in early 2013.
EXCLUSIVE: And in what I expect to be the final piece of casting news for BBC Three’s Bluestone 42, I can reveal that Katie Lyons (The Crimson Petal and the White) has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming military comedy series. The show, which was recently picked up to series by BBC Three with an eight episode order, is currently in production in South Africa. Other series regulars on Bluestone 42 are Scott Hoatson (Case Histories), Stephen Wight (Threesome), Tony Gardner (Fresh Meat), Kelly Adams (Hustle) and Oliver Chris (Green Wing).

USA Network has renewed their legal dramedy series Suits for a third season of 16 episodes, which is set to air in 2013.
EXCLUSIVE: Breaking Bad is continuing its run in the UK on Netflix. I have just learned that the first half of the show’s fifth season (episodes 1 -8) will receive its UK premiere on Netflix UK & Ireland on Thursday November 1st, when all 8 episodes will be made available to subscribers of the streaming service.
Hunted returned for its second episode in the 9pm time-slot on BBC One and drew in 3.4 million viewers and a 15% share. That is down 25% in total viewers compared to last week’s series premiere (4.5 million viewers/19% share), but Hunted was still the number 2 program in the 9pm slot.
EXCLUSIVE: Sally Carman (Shameless) has been cast as the new lead in the upcoming second season of BBC One’s drama series Prisoners’ Wives, TVWise has learned exclusively. My sources are telling me that Carman has been cast as Kim Hall, though they fell short of revealing any plot lines for the character. Carman, repped by Shepherd Management, is currently filming the final season of Shameless for Channel 4/Company Pictures and will be replacing Emma Rigby, who played the lead role of Gemma during the first season of Prisoners’ Wives.
The first season of ABC’s drama series Scandal will receive its UK premiere on More4 on Thursday October 25th at 9pm, it has been announced.
