UKTV has closed a deal with Zodiak Rights to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to Syfy’s drama series Being Human for its Watch Channel. The show’s 13 episode first season is set to premiere on the channel later this year.
EXCLUSIVE: I’ve learned that Toby Kebbell (Black Mirror), Ashley Jensen (Ugly Betty) & Sophie Okonedo (Sinbad) have joined the cast of BBC One’s upcoming serial The Escape Artist. Both BBC One & Endor Productions have yet to announce any cast members, however, TVWise previously broke the news that both David Tennant and Tony Gardner have been cast in the three-part serial.
EXCLUSIVE: Sky Atlantic and Canal+ have found the two lead actors for their upcoming co-production The Tunnel. I’ve learned that Stephen Dillane and Clémence Poésy have been cast in the ten-part series as the male and female leads. Dillane will play Karl Roebuck, the English detective assigned to the case; while Poésy will play Elise Wasserman, a French detective who is assigned to the investigation alongside Roebuck. Dillane is currently a series regular on HBO’s Game of Thrones and was previously a main cast member on the BBC One/Cinemax series Hunted. Poésy’s previous credits include The CW’s Gossip Girl and the Harry Potter feature film series.
The fourth season of NBC’s drama series Friday Night Lights will receive its UK premere on Sky Atlantic on Tuesday February 12th at 8pm, it has been announced.
The final season of Starz’s drama series Spartacus (subtiled War Of The Damned) will receive its UK premiere on Sky1 on Monday February 11th at 10pm, it has been announced.
The first season of ABC’s drama series Nashville will receive its UK premiere on More4 on Thursday February 7th at 10pm, it has been announced.
