ReelzChannel has closed a deal with Sonar Entertainment to acquire five new four hour mini-series which will air on the cable network in 2013. The five mini-series covered by this deal include Cat. 8, Delete, Eve of Destruction, Exploding Sun and Ring of Fire.
FOX has closed a deal with Endemol Worldwide Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to AMC upcoming drama series Low Winter Sun.
ITV has closed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to FX’s cold war drama series The Americans. I hear that the deal between ITV and Fox is for the first two seasons of the show, with ITV expecting to air the series later this Spring
Emilia Fox (Silent Witness), Dawn French (The Vicar of The Dibley), Nick Moran (Harry Potter), Rebecca Front (The Thick of It) and Sarah Solemani (Him & Her) have joined the cast of the upcoming BBC Two/Hulu co-produced comedy series The Wrong Mans. They join previously announced main cast members James Corden (Gavin & Stacey) and Matthew Baynton (Spy).

UKTV has closed a deal with All3Media International to acquire the exclusive first run UK broadcast rights to the 13 episode second season of Australian crime drama series Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries for its Alibi Channel. The deal comes shortly before Alibi is set to begin broadcasting the show’s first season this February.
Annabelle Wallis (Pan Am), Lara Pulver (Sherlock), Lesley Manville (Vera Drake), Anna Chancellor (The Hour), Samuel West (Mr Selfridge) and Rupert Evans (World Without End) have all joined the cast of Fleming, the upcoming four-part mini-series based on the life of Bond Creator Ian Fleming which is being co-produced by Sky Atlantic and BBC America.
EXCLUSIVE: My sources are telling me that British actor Stephen Wight (Threesome) has been cast in BBC One’s upcoming three-part legal drama The Escape Artist. Neither BBC One nor Endor Productions have announced any cast members, however, TVWise previously broke the news that David Tennant (Doctor Who), Sophie Okonedo (Sinbad), Toby Kebbell (Black Mirror), Ashley Jensen (Ugly Betty) and Tony Gardner (Fresh Meat) have been cast in the three-part drama.
