Netflix & DreamWorks Animation Team For Original Kids Series ‘Turbo: F.A.S.T.’

NetflixNetflix and DreamWorks Animation have announced that they are teaming up to produce what will be Netflix’s first ever original series for kids. Based on DreamWorks’ upcoming feature film Turbo, this new series is titled Turbo: F.A.S.T. (Fast Action Stunt Team) and will debut this December on Netflix in over 40 territories including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. In addition to Turbo: F.A.S.T., Netflix’s deal with DreamWorks will see new animated films from the studio made available to subscribers, beginning with DreamWorks’ 2013 lineup.

HBO Sets Premiere Date For ‘Veep’

The announcement, which was made earlier this evening at a press event by the BBC’s Controller of Drama Ben Stephenson, includes (as TVWise previously reported) a new 8 part drama series from former Strike Back showrunner Tony Saint for BBC One, a new Saturday night adventure series to fill the shoes left by Merlin titled Atlantis, a third season for both Call The Midwife and Death In Paradise.
