Netflix UK & Ireland Picks Up Rights To ‘The League’ Season 4

Following on from successfuly launching FX’s comedy series The League late last year, Netflix UK & Ireland has extended its licensing deal with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution and picked up the rights to the show’s fourth season. This is the latest deal inked by Netflix in the past month, the streaming service has also recently picked up the fourth season of Drop Dead Diva, the eighth season of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and are believed to be considering picking up new seasons of Californication. All 13 episodes of the show’s fourth season are immediately available to stream for members of Netflix UK.

‘The Roux Scholarship’ Jumps To Watch, Good Food To Air Companion Series

The Roux Scholarship is moving up the EPG. UKTV has announced that the format, which has previously aired on the network’s Good Food channel, is moving to Watch. The new series on Watch has been given an order for 10 episodes and UKTV has also commissioned a 7 episode companion series which will air on Good Food, with recipes from that show then made available on Good Food’s website.

UKTV’s Gold Channel Orders First Original Sitcom ‘Us And Them’

UKTV is continuing its push into original programming. The network’s Gold channel has ordered its first original sitcom from veteran comedy producers Hat Trick Productions. The comedy series, titled Us and Them, has been given a six episode order and follows on from the channel commissioning a re-make of the political comedy series Yes, Prime Minister.
