Life of Pi director Ang Lee, who just recently won the Academy Award for Best Director, has signed on to helm FX’s one-hour drama pilot Tyrant. The pilot, which is set to enter production this summer, will be Lee’s first project since Life of Pi and his television directorial debut.
Martin Clunes (Doc Martin) is the latest actor to board the new season of the Sky1/Cinemax action series Strike Back for its upcoming season (the fourth for Sky1 and the third for Cinemax), TVWise has learned. Clunes has been cast in the series as Sebastian Gray, a former MI6 agent turned independent intelligence officer working in Beirut. Clunes’ casting comes on the heels of Robson Green (Wire In The Blood), Dougray Scott (Desperate Housewives) and Milauna Jackson also joining the series.
