EXCLUSIVE: Being Human creator Toby Whithouse’s new drama series The Game has found its director. I’ve learned that BAFTA nominee Niall MacCormick has signed on to helm the six episode Cold War drama series. MacCormick’s previous credits include Channel 4’s Complicit, feature film Albatross and BBC One’s Wallander. I understand that casting on the drama series is now winding down, with the BBC aiming to begin principal photography on The Game this August.

There is no word on just when the show’s second season would begin production, though I understand that the scripts will again be written by Tom Basden and Sam Leifer. Joyner has been cast as leading character Meg; Addison as Matt, Meg’s husband; Edwards as Ian, Matt’s love rival; and Cochrane as Sam, Matt’s best friend.
