Ray Winstone (The Sweeney), Aneurin Barnard (The White Queen), Anthony Ofoegbu (Spooks), Martin Trenaman (The Inbetweeners), Lorcan Cranitch (Silent Witness), Ben Chaplin (Wipers Times), Sophie Cookson and Omid Djalili have joined the cast of Sky1’s upcoming two-part drama Moonfleet. As TVWise previously reported, production on the mini-series is set to commence this Summer on location in Dublin.

Andy De Emmony Replaces Dan Percival As Director For Sky1’s Two-Part Drama ‘Moonfleet’

EXCLUSIVE: Sky1 and Company Pictures have found a new director for their upcoming two-part drama Moonfleet. I’ve learned that Andy de Emmony, who previously directed Daran Little’s comedy pilot Kitten Chic for sister channel Sky Living, has signed on to helm the two-parter. He replaces Dan Percival who was previously announced as the director for the drama and is currently working on Death Comes To Pemberley for BBC One. Andy de Emmony has been directing television since the 1990s and has just come off of helming BBC Two’s Wipers Times, which was written by Ian Hislop & Nick Newman and starred Ben Chaplin.

BBC Developing Medical Comedy Series ‘Porters’ From Feelgood Fiction

EXCLUSIVE: It looks like the BBC is after a new medical comedy series. My sources tell me that the BBC has put into development a new medically themed series titled Porters. I understand that, at present, there is no specific channel attached to Porters and that the BBC has seen a completed script for a pilot episode which was written by Dan Sefton. Sefton, repped by Blake Friedmann, has a background in medicine and has written extensively for medical dramas including Doctors, Casualty and Holby City.
