NBC & Mark Burnett Team For ‘The Bible’ Follow Up ‘AD: Beyond The Bible’

Roma Downey and Mark Burnett’s follow up mini-series to the ratings juggernaut that was The Bible is coming to NBC. The network today announced that they would be airing the series, which has a working-titled of AD: Beyond The Bible, and that sister studio Universal Television would co-produce the mini alongside LightWorkers Media and Hearst Productions, with Roma Downey, Mark Burnett and Richard Bedser serving as the executive producers.

My sources are telling me that Wendy Nottingham (The Borgias) and Terrence Harvey (Jo) have been cast in the drama. They join previously announced main cast members Suranne Jones (Scott & Bailey), Jonathan Cake (Desperate Housewives), Chris Coghill (Eastenders) and Lindsay Duncan (Doctor Who).
