EXCLUSIVE UPDATE, 15:41 PM: It seems those rumours about series creator Allan Cubitt going behind the cameras for the six episode second season of The Fall were correct. I’ve just heard from a well placed source who has confirmed to me that Allan Cubitt will be directing the second season of the series he created. This marks Allan Cubitt’s television directorial debut. Insiders have also stated to me that while not having Verbruggen return is a “loss”, having Cubitt direct will “maintain the creative integrity” of the series.
Fox’s Sleepy Hollow already broke ratings records for Universal Channel when the series premiered in the UK. Now, the series premiere has added just under 0.3 million viewers to its initial audience with seven days of consolidation, it has been revealed.
BBC One’s period drama series The Paradise returned to strong ratings for its second season premiere last night, overnight figures have revealed.
BBC One is adding two prime-time entertainment series to their line up. The channel has given the green-light to Let’s Get Ready To Tumble, a live Saturday night celebrity gymnastics series; and Your Home In Their Hands, a transformational makeover series. Both series were developed by BBC In House Entertainment and have received funding from BBC Worldwide, who will shop both to international buyers.
BBC One has released the first image (see below) of their upcoming 10 episode drama The Musketeers, since the series – which is a co-production with BBC America – wrapped production. The show’s first season is set to premiere in early 2014.
