JFK 50th: What To Watch & Where To Watch It

With the 50th anniversary of the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy rapidly approaching, a number of UK broadcasters have firmed up their programming plans to mark the event. There is one high profile scripted effort – National Geographic’s Killing Kennedy – but most of the output is factual – with one of the more high profile documentaries, JFK: The Smoking Gun, which posits that Kennedy was in fact murdered by a US Secret Service agent, set to air on Channel 5.

BBC One’s ‘Jamaica Inn’, ‘Jonathan Strange And Mr Norrell’ & ITV’s ‘Undeniable’ Add To Casts

EXCLUSIVE: BBC One’s upcoming drama Jamaica Inn has added another well known actor to its ranks. I’ve learned that Emmerdale and Scott & Bailey alum Danny Miller has joined the cast of the three-parter. Based on the classic Daphne du Maurier novel of the same name, Jamaica Inn is a three-part drama set in 1820 against the foreboding backdrop of windswept Cornish moors which follows the young Mary Yellan as she becomes entangled in a dangerous criminal world ridden with smuggling and murder, testing her resolve and morality to the very core. The adaptation was penned by Emma Frost (The White Queen). The drama is being produced by Origin Pictures and stars Jessica Brown Findlay (Downton Abbey), Matthew McNulty (The Paradise), Sean Harris (The Borgias), Ben Daniels (House of Cards), Joanne Whalley (The Borgias), Shirley Henderson (The Crimson Petal and The White) and Charles Furness (The Whale).
