James Bond is returning to free-to-air. ITV has reached an exclusive multi-year deal with MGM International Television Distribution to secure the free-to-air rights to the James Bond franchise.

I’ve learned that Vincent Franklin (The Thick of It) has joined the BBC One/BBC America/Space co-pro as series regular Christopher Drawlight. Based on the bestselling novel by Susanna Clarke, Jonathan Strange And Mr Norrell is set during the Napoleonic Wars in an England where magic once existed and is about to return. The series was adapted for television by Peter Harness (who is writing all 7 episodes), with Toby Haynes attached to direct. Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell is being produced by Cuba Pictures and is being co-produced with BBC America, in association with Feel Film, Far Moor, Screen Yorkshire and Bell Media’s Space. The executive producers are Matthew Read, Nick Marston, Justin Thomson-Glover, Patrick Irwin, Tally Garner and Dixie Linder. Toby Haynes is attached to direct.
