Channel 4 Orders Trio Of Comedy Pilots

Channel 4 has given the green-light to three new broadcast comedy pilots: Flack, a comedy about a PR which hails from Hat Trick Productions and will star Sheridan Smith; Catastrophe, a romantic comedy from Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan; and Sit.com, a family sitcom from David Baddiel. Production on all three pilots is set commence in the coming weeks, with Channel 4 eyeing 2014 premieres.

UKTV’s Gold Channel Orders ‘Porridge’ Docu Series ‘Porridge: The Inside Story’

UKTV is looking to iconic comedy series Porridge for their next original commission. The commercial network, which is a joint venture between BBC Worldwide and Scripps Networks Interactive, has given the greenlight to Porridge: The Inside Story, a new documentary series for their Gold channel comprising three hour-long specials which will mark the 40th anniversary and tell the real story behind the legendary comedy series.
