Following on from handing out a pilot order to a single-cam project from Happy Endings creator David Caspe, NBC has handed pilot orders to two new comedy projects: A To Z, which hails from Rashida Jones, Ben Queen & Will McCormack; and Mason Twins, which hails from Casey Wilson and June Raphael.
The second season of Starz’s original series Da Vinci’s Demons will premiere on Saturday March 22nd at 9/8c, the network announced at the series TCA panel.
Say goodbye to The Assets. ABC has pulled the plug on the Cold War mini-series, effective immediately. Repeat episodes of Shark Tank will fill The Assets vacant slot on Thursday nights for the next three weeks. There is no word yet of or when the six unaired episodes of The Assets will air.
After slotting in Community, Chicago PD and Hannibal‘s second season, NBC has finally pinned down the rest of their midseason schedule. Just as the network did in fall 2012, they will be using the back end of their Olympics coverage as a launch pad for the new entries.
FX has rounded out the cast for their upcoming drama pilot Hoke. Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones), John Carroll Lynch (Body of Proof), Robert Wisdom (The Wire), Jordi Mollà (In The Heart of the Sea) and Tammy Blanchard (Life With Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows) have all joined the cast of the drama, which is being headlined by Paul Giamatti (John Adams).
The fourth season of HBO’s hit drama series Game of Thrones will receive its UK premiere on Sky Atlantic on Monday April 7th at 9pm, less than 24 hours behind the US premiere.
The Governor is keeping busy. After recently starring in BBC One’s two-part romantic drama The 7.39, David Morrissey has landed a role in another BBC drama serial. The Walking Dead alum has been cast as the lead in BBC One’s upcoming three-part drama The Driver, which hails from Danny Brocklehurst, Jim Poyser and Red Production Company.
A&E’s newest drama series Those Who Kill will premiere on Monday March 3rd at 10/9c, the network announced today.
