England couldn’t quite close out the Test series in Manchester, with India battling to a hard fought draw in the fourth match at Old Trafford.
After dominating much of the contest, the hosts were unable to break through the visitors’ resistance on the final day.
That result leaves England 2-1 up heading into this week’s fifth and final Test at The Oval.

With the series still in their hands, Ben Stokes’ side only need to avoid defeat in London to clinch a memorable home series win.
Even a loss in the decider would leave the series drawn, meaning the pressure is now firmly on India to pull off a win.
England have been dealt a blow ahead of the final Test. Captain Ben Stokes has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury sustained during the fourth Test, while Jofra Archer will also miss out as he continues his recovery.
In response, young all rounder Jacob Bethell has been called up and is set to feature in the playing XI.
India, too, are grappling with fitness concerns.
First choice wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has been sidelined with a foot injury, and the status of pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah remains unclear.
Bumrah has already featured in three Tests during the series, despite ongoing concerns over a back issue that has limited his availability in recent months.
With little time between matches, both teams have had to quickly reset and prepare for what promises to be a dramatic finale.
The Oval has often provided thrilling conclusions to series in the past, and with the series still on the line, all eyes now turn to South London for the decider.
