Manchester United are back home after a successful few weeks, which saw them being crowned champions of the Premier League Summer Series held in the United States of America.
After a horrendous 2024-25 season, which saw Manchester United registering their worst ever finish in the league, the team have since had a change of fortune: they have won two and drawn two of the four fixtures that they have played.
The first draw came in their opening fixture against rivals Leeds United, and was followed by wins in the Summer Series against West Ham United and Bournemouth, and a final draw against Everton.
After signing Bryan Mbuemo and Matheus Cunha, The Red Devils have also closed in on the deal of Benjamin Sesko.
The performances of these players will play a key role in Manchester United’s ability to overturn their forgettable fortune going into the 2025-26 Premier League.
The off season for Fiorentina has also been very fulfilling; they have won two, drawn and lost one of the four fixtures that they have played till now.
The wins came against Grosseto and Carrarese, and the Viola registered the draw and the loss against Leicester City and Nottingham Forest, respectively.
Fiorentina also had an impressive 2024-25 Serie A campaign, one that saw them finish sixth on the points table and therefore qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League play offs.
The match against Manchester United will be the final game in the Serie A build up for Stefan Pioli’s men.
