In what are to be the final fixtures of the off season campaign for both the teams, Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion will be facing Bundesliga side Vfl Wolfsburg at the home of the former, the American Express Stadium, aka the Amex Stadium.

After a league campaign that saw them finish on eleventh position on the points table, Brighton and Hove Albion have had a good preseason so far.

In the four fixtures they have played up to now, the Seagulls have registered three wins and one draw.

The victories were registered in the games against Wycombe, Stoke City and Las Palmas, and the draw came in the last game against Southampton.

Gaffer Fabian Hurzeler’s men will be looking to finish this pre-season on a positive note before they start their 2025-26 Premier League campaign with a home fixture against Fulham.

The fans of the Seagulls will also be happy with the signings the club have made so far, which includes players like Thierno Barry, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Carlos Alcaraz, Adam Aznou and Mark Travers. Eyes will be on the performance of these players.

For Vfl Wolfsburg, however, their friendlies has been far from fulfilling.

The German side have won just one of their three pre-season fixtures, and have suffered two losses on the trot.

The win came in their opening fixture against 1. FC Magdeburg, and the losses were registered against Espanyol and Feyenoord.

On the transfer front, Die Wölfe have made the signing of Mohamed Amoura, who scored 10 league goals in the 2024-25 campaign, permanent.

They have also brought in Vini Souza, Aaron Zehnter, Denis Vavro, Jakub Zielinski and Jesper Lindstrom, the latter on loan.

Looking at current forms and recent results, I feel that a win for Brighton and Hove Albion looks to be on the cards.
