TNT Sports 1 has the game, with TNT Sports Ultimate carrying it alongside and coverage starting at 11.00, an hour and a half before kick off. The fixture was moved from its original slot for television.

Manchester City also run live audio commentary through their own CITY+ service for subscribers.

City have won all seven.

Enzo Maresca’s side lead the table on 21 points, three clear of Arsenal, having won 3-0 at Anfield before edging Ipswich Town 3-2 at home last weekend. Paris Saint-Germain are the only team to have beaten them in a long while.

Wednesday brought a 5-1 win over AEK Athens with a much-changed side, Phil Foden scoring a hat-trick to follow his goal at the weekend.

Villa Park has been a problem for them, though. City have lost most of their recent league meetings with Unai Emery’s side and have not won on this ground for some time.

Villa are 12th but climbing, unbeaten in seven across all competitions since losing at home to Nottingham Forest in September. They won 1-0 at Newcastle last weekend.

Europe has been the better story still, with three wins from three in the Champions League and a 3-1 defeat of Viking FK on Wednesday. A first home league win of the season is still missing, which makes this an odd fixture to be chasing it in.
