Drama Sets UK Premiere Date For The Brokenwood Mysteries Season 6

Drama has set a UK premiere date for the sixth series of The Brokenwood Mysteries, with the New Zealand crime drama returning on Monday November 18th at 8pm.

The whodunnit follows Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Shepherd, played by Neill Rea, who keeps finding that murder is never far away in the seemingly sleepy town of Brokenwood. Alongside him is Detective Kristin Sims, played by Fern Sutherland, a precise, by-the-book investigator whose methodical style contrasts with Shepherd’s more unconventional approach.

As with the previous runs, the sixth series is made up of four feature-length, standalone mysteries, each a self-contained case in the deceptively deadly country town. The show blends its murders with a warm streak of humour.

Made by South Pacific Pictures and overseen by series creator and head writer Tim Balme, The Brokenwood Mysteries has aired on Drama in the UK since 2017.
