Wolves are currently on a pretty decent run of form which has seen the Midlands outfit unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions.

This stretch includes two victories: a 3-0 win against West Ham United in the league and a 6-1 hammering of Shrewsbury in the FA Cup which has finally given their fans some hope.

Wolves are certainly battling their relegation worries and have managed to pick up five points out of a possible nine at the beginning of 2026 in the League, and are now within touching distance of 19th placed side Burnley.

A win today would give the side a welcome confidence boost as they look to retain their Premier League place for another season.

Newcastle United, on their part, are on a three game winning streak themselves in the League, and this has helped them in the hunt for a Champions League place and close to the top 4, with the difference between them and fourth placed side Liverpool being just 4 points.

The Toon will enter the game on the back of a demoralising 2-0 loss to Manchester City in the first leg of the EFL Cup semi-finals.

A win against Wolves while away from St. James’ Park would give Eddie Howe’s men and their vociferous away support something to shout about.

Newcastle will be looking for maximum points as they chase down Champions League qualification while Rob Edwards will be hoping they can keep their form going.
