BBC Three has ordered a new comedy series, Siblings, and renewed Badults for a second series. Both were announced by channel controller Zai Bennett at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.

Written by Keith Akushie and made by Bwark Productions, the company behind The Inbetweeners, Siblings has been ordered for a first run of six episodes. It centres on a brother and sister billed as the worst in the world, a pair so lazy, selfish and hopeless that they leave chaos in their wake wherever they go.

Badults returns after a strong start for its first series, whose opener drew a consolidated audience of 2.1 million. Created by and starring the comedy trio Pappy’s, the show follows three friends, Tom, Ben and Matthew, making good on a childhood pact to live together once they grew up.
