Channel 5 has set a UK premiere date for Love/Hate, the Irish gangland drama, with the series starting on Wednesday July 24th at 10pm.
Created by Stuart Carolan, the RTÉ hit is set deep in Dublin’s criminal underworld and built around the crew of kingpin John Boy Power, played by Aidan Gillen of The Wire and Game of Thrones. The opening series introduces his young gang members, among them Darren, played by Robert Sheehan, and the hapless Nidge, played by Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, as a killing on their own doorstep sets off a cycle of revenge.
A multiple award-winner and one of the biggest dramas on Irish television, Love/Hate now gets a wider airing on Channel 5. UK viewers are being given the chance to start from the very first series.
